The Asia Pacific Cities Summit (APCS) has been held successfully over the past 17 years. The APCS is a biennial event with the objective of promoting economic growth in the Asia Pacific region and beyond. It is a platform for attendees to communicate and exchange their viewpoints and knowledge regarding business growth, investment and economic outcomes. Lately the Summit has become a medium for global business to enter the growing Asia Pacific markets.
The APCS is the place where all stakeholders of regional community should meet. Key city decision makers, business leaders, social entrepreneurs, young leaders and professionals, experts in their fields are welcomed, as Summit participants deal with regional challenges in an open and highly interactive manner.
The 2013 APCS will build upon the success of eight prior summits and is expected to attract over 1,000 delegates from over 100 global cities, and outstanding speakers of high international profile. We aim to discuss the city-state phenomenon and its relationship with the people, as well as strategies that accentuate positive mutual advantage and regenerate business opportunities between cities.

While promoting economic exchange, 2013 APCS emphasizes regional inter-city cooperation. Closer collaboration between governments and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), constructs a new model of connectivity for inter-city exchange while producing real competitive advantage for the Asia Pacific and maximum benefit for the good of the entire region.
Up-scaling Citizen Participation and Promoting Maximum City Growth
2013 APCS Kaohsiung will be calling on the strength of volunteers. The city of Kaohsiung is proud to demonstrate the cohesiveness of our NGOs and the passion of our citizens to participate at international civic functions.
