CHANGES:
- Under the hood performance tweaks
You know what white looks like right? The colour white? This game should be easy for you then, all you have to do is hit white.
----- Overview -----
256 Shades of Greyscale has 3 game modes and a feature called tourettes.
There's not much in the way of complexity to this game. But as for the challenge; well that's a whole different story all together. There are 3 things you as a player will need to have in order to get remotely close to winning.
1. Patience.
*Patience is a key element to this game. In beta; 2 people smashed their screens while trying to get through the game. We won't tell you what gamemode it was on, as you will find out soon enough.
2. Dexterity.
*This game requires a significant amount of dexterity in your fingers, and believe us when we say, you will need to crack knuckles, warm hands or do whatever it is you need to do to get your fingers to respond quickly.
3. Hand eye coordination.
*You won't get it right the first time, or even the second, third and possibly fourth. You will need to train your eye to differentiate shading.
----- Game modes ----
Classic:
This gamemode requires the user to tap the whitest tile in the set to advance through that level. As you progress through the level, the tile set will change more frequently as you take longer to tap a tile. This in turn will deduct points from your progress.
Hardcore:
One mistake and it's all over. Only the elitist and most patient players will even bother with this gamemode. It's hard, hence the title.
Freefall:
This gamemode does exactly what the title says. A white tile falls from the top of the screen, and you will need to tap it before it reaches the bottom. (Sounds easy enough?). But, as you successfully tap each white tile; the time it takes for them to enter the screen will decrease, meaning you will have to tap faster and faster. There are 4 levels to this gamemode, and as you progress through each level, the music will adapt to the intensity.
