3DR GCP now supports Android 9.
Now, instead of having to export ground control point data files and manually upload them into Site Scan, 3DR customers can use Site Scan GCP to quickly capture ground control points and automatically transfer them to their corresponding projects in the Site Scan cloud for georeferencing and processing. This makes it easy for any Site Scan user to create drone maps and models accurate down to the centimeter.
Site Scan GCP is enabled by Trimble Catalyst. The app runs on any modern Android phone or tablet. Trimble Catalyst is an Android-based Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) developed by Trimble, a global leader in geospatial products. It includes a small, lightweight, plug-and-play digital antenna and a subscription to Trimble’s private positioning servers. Customers can simply go on-site, plug the Catalyst DA1 antenna into their Android device, open Site Scan GCP, and capture ground control points at their desired level of accuracy.
This version of 3DR GCP Android App comes with one universal variant which will work on all the Android devices.
