4K - designation of resolution in digital film and computer graphics, roughly corresponding to 4000 pixels horizontally.
Minimum resolution UHD TV - 3840x2160 pixels (8.3 megapixels). Ultra HD TV provides up to 33 million pixel with a maximum resolution up to 7680 ? 4320. For comparison, a high-definition TV picture in the highest quality 1080p consists of 2 million pixels (1920x1080), and the classic TV standard is equivalent to 400 thousand pixels (720x576).
4K UHDTV (2160p) is 3840 pixels wide by 2160 pixels tall (8.29 megapixels), which is four times as many pixels as 1920x1080 (2.07 megapixels).
