Acupuncture For Men’s Health (AMH) is a group of practitioners that have a clinical focus in men’s health. All our practitioners undergo ongoing training and are required to read the most up to date information on men’s health in Western and Chinese medicine. Education modules for practitioners are designed based on the most common ailments that we see in our clinics. Practitioners listed with us are required to attend monthly webinars and contribute clinical knowledge and experience. We work as a group to build the knowledge and experience in this field.
DO ALL ACUPUNCTURISTS TREAT ALL AILMENTS?
Well, all acupuncturists are definitely trained and legally can treat all ailments however most don’t. Some will specialize to gain more precise and effective treatments for their clients. Some acupuncturists specialize in Women’s health, cancer treatments, digestive ailments and muscular pain. Our practitioners specialize in Men’s Health and we want our male clients to become work towards the best health possible for them.  The practitioners with acupuncture for men’s health undergo ongoing training with us and have regular clients from us so we know they are the most experienced and the best in their field.
We understand that men’s health can contain sensitive conversations about sexual health, urination and prostate health, some general acupuncturist may not be comfortable with these conversations. As specialists in men’s health you will know that we will refer you to a practitioner that is not only comfortable talking about these concerns they will create a comfortable space for you also. All our acupuncturists undergo an interview process and are selected based on professionalism and experience. They are invested in you and your health. We enjoy providing a space that men are comfortable to be themselves and truly live their purpose and destiny.
As you can imagine, our practitioners are busy with their patients all day which can cause delays in getting the information you need and the appointment time you desire if you call direct, so I have all their schedules with me and will book you an appointment while you are on the phone. I am Dr Sharyn Allyson LAc an acupuncturists who also answers the phone so I can answer all your initial questions. Either by email or phone we would love to help you explore the world of acupuncture and what it can do for you. Once we have you booked in I will send you the address and direct number with a confirmation and your practitioner will call or text to confirm your appointment directly. Our booking system is as efficient and effective as your treatments will be.
No… you will just need to pay or give insurance information to your acupuncturists at the time of your appointment. All our acupuncturists accept cash check and credit card.
DO THE NEEDLES HURT?
It is a little funny but many men….more than we could ever have imagined are a little timid of needles however most are surprised to realize that they don’t feel a thing during their treatment.  Most enjoy a little nap and some time out….it’s a great excuse to leave the office for an afternoon nap. Just say ” I have an acupuncture appointment for my allergies” hehe.
