About Agfa AR+ Android App

Experience the possibilities of Augmented Reality (AR) with the Agfa AR+ app. With this app Agfa Graphics and Agfa HealthCare provide a collection of samples of how AR can be used to enrich a wide range of objects in different market segments. Through a simple mechanism to overlay or attach virtual content to physical objects — a page of a book or magazine, a painting, a billboard, a packaging, a sign, etc. — these can be experienced with an extra dimension using mobile devices or smart eyewear.

Simply launch the app and point the camera of your smartphone, tablet or glasses to a recognized object. Instantly additional content becomes available, which can range from a simple video or animation to highly interactive, context specific content.

If you see the Agfa AR+ pictogram on a brochure, poster, sign, display, packaging, door, machine,... this physical object is augmented with virtual information which can be accessed through the Agfa AR+ app. Next to image recognition using the device's camera, also iBeacons can be used to interact with Agfa AR+ apps on a smart device. When approaching a registered iBeacon a notification let's you know there is an AR-experience around.
