AiMuse is an artificial-intelligence based music player with two distinct features. First, it allows you to unmix any piece of music stored on your device. That means that you are able to extract or mute single instruments in any given mixture. So far, you can extract vocals, drums, bass and - in an experimental version - guitar tracks. All of this is carried out in real-time and locally on your device. Thus, there is no need for an Internet connection.

Second, the app allows you to increase or decrease the playback speed of any given track by up to a factor of 2. It also features a pitch shifter that allows you to shift the pitch of any given music without affecting the playback speed.

The combination of the above features allows you to create your own play-alongs for your favourite pieces of music by removing the instrument of your choice. Changing the playback speed then allows you to practice at slow speed prior to switching to full speed. The pitch shifter enables you to practice in another key.

If you choose to remove the vocals from an arbitrary piece of music, the app works as a Karaoke engine and you can sing along with your favourite songs.

At present, the app works both with music that is stored on your device and with web radios.
