Kitab Barzanji ditulis oleh “Ja’far al-Barjanzi al-Madani, dia adalah khathîb di Masjidilharâm dan seorang mufti dari kalangan Syâf’iyyah. Wafat di Madinah pada tahun 1177H/1763 M dan di antara karyanya adalah Kisah Maulîd Nabi Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.[1]

Secara umum kandungan kitab Barzanji terbagi menjadi tiga :
1). Cerita tentang perjalanan hidup Nabi Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.
2). Syair-syair pujian dan sanjungan kepada Nabi Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam dengan bahasa yang sangat indah.

Barzanji Book written by "Ja'far al-Barjanzi al-Madani, he is khathîb at the Sacred Mosque and a mufti of the Syâf'iyyah. Died in Medina in the year 1177H / 1763 AD and among his works is the story of the Birthday of Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. [1]

Generally Barzanji content of the book is divided into three:
1). The story of the journey of life the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam.
2). Poems of praise and flattery to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam with very beautiful language.
3). Blessings on the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam.
