Alma Fiesta is the socio-cultural fest of IIT Bhubaneswar. The fest is organized every year in the second week of January. The first edition of Alma Fiesta was held in the year 2010. The inaugural edition of the fest was chaired by the Honourable Chief Minister of Odisha Mr. Naveen Pattnaik. The fest celebrated its fourth edition in the spring of Jan'2012. The fourth edition of Alma Fiesta had witnessed a footfall of more than 12000.

Alma Fiesta hails to be the biggest debutant fest in INDIA in the year 2010. The New Indian Express has stated Alma Fiesta as the largest socio-cultural fest of Odisha. Alma Fiesta is a student-powered fest where the functionaries comprise of student bodies forming the sponsorship, publicity, event management and design and decoration teams. The fest has witnessed the presence of many eminent personalities in the field of music, dance, literature and fine arts. Bands such as Indian Ocean , Bandish, Cynical Recess and many more have given unforgettable performances on the stage of Alma Fiesta . Renowned personalities like Krishna Behura, Pandit Bhajan Sapoori, Kumar Vishwas and Ira Trivedi have also been a part of Alma Fiesta .
