Andrew Kuykendall attributes much of his inspiration to his unquenchable wanderlust. At 18 he left home to explore the world, gathering experiences and acquiring a novel perspective that is apparent in his gritty yet polished imagery. He has lived in Los Angeles, Paris, Krakow, New York, Rome, San Francisco, Lima, London... His passion for travel and multicultural adaptability has expanded his range among foreign clients and continues to earmark his work.
Andrew’s desire to create authentic images & to “document the moment” began by taking instant Polaroid’s of his friends and his personal experiences. This naturally evolved into a more expansive imagery marked with a raw elegance and deep affection for color. After attending Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, Andrew pursued a formal career in Fashion Photography. He assisted celebrity and fashion photographers for a short time before breaking off and launching his own business.
His work continues to demonstrate a worldly street influence and painterly feel. Andrew’s work has been shown at galleries in Hamburg, Barcelona, London and Los Angeles.
