هو واحد من الوجوه القرآنية المتميزة في العالمين العربي والإسلامي، له صوت شجي يثير المشاعر ويستنفر الأحاسيس، مخارجُ الحروف عنده مُتقَنَة، وقواعد التجويد في قاموسه مضبوطة، يُرتل القرآن بمنتهى التركيز والخشوع، ويسمو بآيات الله بما تستوجبه من تفكُّرٍ وتأمل وخضوع، درَس أصول الدين، وتعلم قواعد التجويد والترتيل، وخاض تجربة الإنشاد الإسلامي، يتعلق الأمر بالقارئ السعودي سعد الغامدي.

وُلد سعد الغامدي واسمه الكامل سعد بن سعيد بن سعد الغامدي سنة 1968م بمدينة الدمام في المملكة العربية السعودية. كان والداه من أهل الورع والتقوى، وكان للقرآن عندهما مكانة خاصة ومرتبة عظيمة، الأمر الذي أثَّر في نفسية سعد الغامدي وساهم في تكوين شخصيته في سن مبكرة، فاعتنى بالقرآن واهتم به، وكرَّس وقته وجهده لدراسة قواعده والإلمام بأحكامه.

وهكذا، تلقَّى سعد الغامدي تعليمه الأولي في مسقط رأسه بالدمام، فالتحق بمدرسة مصعب بن عمير الابتدائية، ثم بمدرسة الفيصل الإعدادية، وبمدرسة الشاطئ الثانوية. وبعد نجاحه في اجتياز هذه المراحل بنجاح، التحق بكلية الشريعة التابعة لجامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية بمحافظة الأحساء، فدرَس أصول الدين بشكل أكاديمي، وتخرج منها سنة 1410هـ.

بعد تخرجه بخمس سنوات، تمكن الشيخ سعد الغامدي من إتمام حفظ القرآن الكريم كاملا، وكان ذلك سنة 1990م. سنتان بعد ذلك، حصل على إجازة الإسناد برواية حفص عن عاصم على يد الشيخ أحمد أبوضيف الذي أخذ على يده قواعد القرآن وأحكامه. كما تأثر بالشيخ مروان القادري إمام وخطيب جامع المجدوعي بمدينة الدمام، حيث كان بالنسبة له مُعلما ومُربِّيا ومُرشدا، وتعلم على يده القواعد الشاملة لقراءة كتاب الله، فأصبح واحدا من كبار مرتلي القرآن الكريم في العالمين العربي والإسلامي.

بعد استكمال مسيرته الدراسية وتحصيله العلمي، اشتغل الشيخ سعد الغامدي في الإمامة سنة 1411هـ، فأصبح إماما بجامع عقبة بن غزوان بمدينة الدمام الذي كان يصلي فيه صلاة التراويح والقيام على مدى سنوات. وفي سنة 1421هـ تم تعيينه إماماً وخطيباً على جامع يوسف بن احمد كانو بمدينة الدمام. لِيُعيَّن سنة 1430هـ إماماً في الحرم النبوي، حيث كان يصلي بالناس ويؤمهم خلال شهر رمضان المبارك.

موازاة مع ذلك، تقلَّد سعد الغامدي عددا من المناصب الحكومية المرتبطة بالحقل الديني، وهكذا اشتغل في مجال التدريس بين سنتي 1411‍ و 1415ه‍ـ، و تقلد منصب المشرف التربوي لمادة التربية الإسلامية في وزارة التعليم السعودية بين سنتي 1416 و1423ه‍ـ. كما عمل مديراً لمدارس محمد الفاتح الأهلية بالدمام بين سنتي 1424 و 1429هـ، و يشتغل حالياً كمشرف تربوي في إدارة التوعية الإسلامية السعودية.

وبالإضافة إلى إتقانه لتلاوة القرآن الكريم، خاض سعد الغامدي تجربة الإنشاد الإسلامي سنة 1985م، واشتهر بأناشيد معبرة مثل (ملكنا هذه الدنيا قرونا)، و (غربان)، كما يتوفر على مكتبة مهمة من الخطب والدروس الصوتية نذكر منها على سبيل المثال لا الحصر؛ (المصحف المرتل للقرآن الكريم)، و (نظم هداية المرتاب في متشابه الكتاب للإمام السخاوي رحمه الله)، و (التحفة والجزرية في مقام التجويد).
