اصدرت مؤسسة الملك خالد الخيرية قراراً يقضي بتعيين الشيخ خالد بن فهد الجليل إماماً وخطيباً في جامع الملك خالد - رحمه الله - بالرياض خلفاً للشيخ عادل بن سالم الكلباني الذي انتقل إلى مكة المكرمة لإمامة الحرم المكي الشريف. وعبرت صاحبة السمو الملكي الأميرة البندري بنت عبدالرحمن الفيصل المديرة العامة لمؤسسة الملك خالد الخيرية عن شكر المؤسسة ومجلس أمنائها لجهود فضيلة الشيخ عادل بن سالم الكلباني الذي كان إمام وخطيب جامع الملك خالد لأكثر من عقدين من الزمان وتمنت له التوفيق والسداد في إمامة الحرم المكي الشريف وأن يكون الشيخ خالد الجليل خير خلف لخير سلف. ودعت الله العلي القدير سبحانه وتعالى أن يتغمد الملك خالد بواسع رحمته وأن يجعل أعمال الخير التي تقوم بها المؤسسة في موازيين أعماله.
وقد عبر الشيخ خالد الجليل عن عظيم شكره وتقديره لمؤسسة الملك خالد الخيرية ومجلس أمنائها سائلاً الله العلي القدير العون والسداد بهذه المهمة الكريمة.
الجدير بالذكر أن الشيخ الجليل يؤم المصلين لصلاة الفرض والتراويح بجامع الملك خالد بأم الحمام بالرياض.
