Гумилев Николай Степанович (1886-1921), русский поэт и критик, основатель литературного течения акмеизма (греч. akme, цветущая сила). Родился 3 (15) апреля 1886 в Кронштадте, сын судового врача. Проведя детство в Царском Селе и в Санкт-Петербурге, отрочество — в Тифлисе, юность — снова в Царском Селе, Гумилев вбирает в душу впечатления имперской мощи и воинской доблести впережку с южной экзотикой, что и определяет изначально его вкусы, его поэтический почерк.
