有六成以上的成人具有慢性背部疼痛問題，慢性背部疼痛和脊椎病之間有相關性。頌缽獨特的共振頻率，近年來經常被用來協助人們身體放鬆、釋放壓力及減輕疼痛。但迄今以頌缽療法做為實證研究者為數仍不多，國內外也尚未將頌缽療法用在慢性背部疼痛的臨床研究。本研究結合頌缽及背部慢性疼痛療效之研究，不論是在頌缽本身、頌缽療法療效的理論探討、研究方法、實驗設計及資料分析上都是個開創性的嘗試與探索。
本書作者是世界自然醫學大學的博士研究生楊琳在校的臨床研究,由於頌缽顯少有生理性研究報告,這份臨床研究報告可以說是難得的生理性研究報告。

Singing bowls unique resonance frequency in recent years, are often used to help people relax the body to release stress and relieve pain. But so far as empirical therapy with singing bowls researchers still amounted to more domestic and international singing bowls therapy has yet to be used in clinical studies of chronic back pain. In this study, the efficacy of combining study singing bowls pain and chronic back, whether it is in itself, singing bowls, singing bowls theory to explore the efficacy of therapy, research methods, experimental design and data analysis on both a pioneering attempt and exploration.
The author is a PhD student in the world of clinical research at the University of Natural Medicine Yang Lin in school, because few singing bowls significant physiological studies, this clinical study can be said to be a rare physiological studies.
