الخلفاء الراشدون هم الصحابة الذين تولوا الحكم بعد النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم – وهم أبو بكر وعمر وعثمان وعلي – رضوان الله عليهم – وترتيبهم في الفضل كترتيبهم في الخلافة.

ولقبوا بالراشدين لما امتازت فترة حكمهم من حكم رشيد حيث قاموا بنشر الدين خير قيام، وكانت ولايتهم رحمة وعدلاً، واتسعت رقعة الدولة الإسلامية في عهدهم لتشمل الشام والعراق ومصر وغيرها .

وامتاز حكمهم بالعدل بين الرعية ، واختفاء مظالم الدولة، وقلة المظالم بين أفراد الأمة، وساد الوئام والألفة المجتمع المسلم في عهدهم ولا سيما في عهد الشيخين أبي بكر وعمر - رضي الله عنهما – وكانت فترة حكمهم هي الفترة الذهبية للخلافة الإسلامية ، والتي لم تعوضها أي فترة حكم جاءت بعد ذلك .Caliphs were companions who took power after the Prophet - peace be upon him - they are Abu Bakr, Omar and Othman and Ali - God bless them - and their ranking in the credit Ktertibam in succession.
