بفضل ما تميز به من صوت عذب وخاشع بشهادة العديد من كبار رجال الدين والقراء اشتغل الشيخ عبد الله كامل كإمام لصلاة التراويح في مجمع بدر الإسلامي بالحادقة و كان يخطب درسا كل أسبوع بنفس المسجد إلى جانب ذلك عين كخطيب بمسجد في حلقة السمك بالكيمان.
