Ela é a Senhora das Ilhas e Penínsulas, apresentando-se como uma guerreira e ao mesmo tempo como um Ninfa, ora segurando a serpente Encantada, ora empurrando a balança de sua justiça particular. Em quaisquer dos casos, ela carrega em si o mistério da Origem dos planetas água e Terra.

Entre ela e Obá-Olokum(Olissassa), Senhor dos Oceanos, o equivalente a Netuno, existe o elo que liga a origem da vida à continuidade da mesma. Por esta razão, todas as pessoas que são filhos ou filhas de Ewá, tem uma missão espiritual ou social no contexto do país onde nasceu e a visão de tudo.
