La Prefectura del Azuay, liderada por su Prefecto Paúl Carrasco Carpio, organiza desde el año 2011, en el mes de noviembre, el Festival de Cine la Orquídea Cuenca.

Durante las tres ediciones, Cuenca se ha convertido en una plataforma de lanzamiento e intercambio de cultura cinematográfica para Productores, Directores, Guionistas, Gráficos, Actores y estudiantes que aspiran en un momento determinado llegar, dentro de las diferentes áreas, a ser destacados en la industria cinematográfica nacional, latinoamericana y mundial.

La llegada de personalidades de talla internacional hace que el Festival de Cine La Orquídea de Cuenca sea un gran foco de atracción para los cineastas ecuatorianos y también en el exterior.

Por esta razón, esta IV edición del FESTIVAL DE CINE LA ORQUIDEA DE CUENCA presentará actividades previas y adicionales que seguramente aumentarán el impacto cultural y el nivel con el que se percibe desde otros festivales similares.Agenda, Inputs, activities and information about the festival.
