1.9.19 - Notification areas were moved to be managed by Google
Important Notice:
For those who receive notifications in areas they didn't mark!
Due to changes in transmission method, you may have cache from a previous version on areas that were previously marked and removed.
It is recommended to clear app data through Android's "device settings" or to delete the app and install it again.
After clearing and re-marking the areas, the problem will be solved.
About Oref Alerts (voluntary) Android App
** !! The app UI is in Hebrew !! **
The app displays alerts (push notifications) when the Home Front Command activates sirens due to missile and rocket fire or hostile aircraft in Israel.
This is all the app does. It has no special settings and does not require registration. The alerts will be in the device's default sound and volume.
After downloading:
1. Open the app
2. Select up to ten alert areas or the entire country.
3. Click the Save Areas button when done.
After that, you will start receiving alerts on your device according to the selected locations.
To update, reopen the app, choose the areas again, and save.
Recommendation:
It is advisable to add the app to the battery optimization ignore list in the device settings.
Important: This app is volunteer-based and is not the official Home Front Command app and does not replace it. It is intended to send push notifications for sirens only.
