استخاره برای رفع حیرت و تردید در انجام کارهای مباح است ، اعم از اینکه تردید در اصل عمل باشد یا در چگونگی انجام آن . بنابراین در کارهای خیر که در آنها حیرت وجود ندارد، استخاره لازم نیست و همچنین استخاره برای آگاهی از آینده شخص یا عمل نمی‏باشد.
روش استخاره با قرآن :
شرط اساسى استخاره با قرآن داشتن طهارت جسمى و روحى و آشنا بودن با معنا و تفسیر قرآن و درک مناسبت آیات با موضوع مورد استخاره مى باشد. نخست نیت کرده وسپس سه بار سوره اخلاص را خوانده، سه بار صلوات مى فرستید و این دعا را مى خوانید «اللهم تفألت بکتابک و توکّلت علیک فارنى من کتابک ما هو مکتوم من سرّک المکنون فى غیبک» بعد قرآن را باز کرده و استخاره را از خط اول در سمت راست ملاحظه مى کنید (در این برنامه بر روی صفحه کلیک می نمایید ) .
