تدور أحداث المسلسل حول ' حياة ' ابنة الطبقة الراقية التي تعاني من مرض انفصام في الشخصية. وتقع "حياة" في العديد من المشاكل بسبب مرضها، حيث تدخل في صراع مع زوجة شقيقها المتسلطة التي تجسد شخصيتها ' نجلاء بدر ' وذلك لضعف شخصية شقيقها الذي يقوم بدوره ' أحمد زاهر '، و باكتشاف انفصام 'حياة' بطلة العمل تتكشف الألغاز التي تتضمنها الأحداث .

يذكر أن مسلسل 'حكاية حياة ' يشارك في بطولته بجانب النجمة غادة عبد الرازق كلاً من طارق لطفي،وأحمد زاهر، وروجينا، و نجلاء بدر، و المسلسل من تأليف أيمن سلامة،وإخراج محمد ساميThe storyline revolves around 'life' the daughter of high-class suffering from schizophrenia disease in personality.
