عيد الاضحى هو العيد الذي يوافق العاشر من ذو الحجة، و يأتي بعد يوم وقفة عرفات مباشرة، و المسلمون في مصر و السعودية و كل الدول العربية و العالمية ، فى عيد الاضحى يؤدي المسلمون مناسك الحج و يتقربون من الله عز وجل بذبح اضحية العيد (خروفاً أو بقرة، أو ابل)، فلهذا السبب سمى بعيد الاضحى.
