অনেকেই বলে থাকেন ভূত ব্যাপার টা নাকি একটা অনুভূতি। যাদের সেই অনুভূতি আছে তারা ভূতে বিশ্বাস করে আর যাদের সেই অনুভূতি নেই তারাও যে একেবারেই ভূতের অস্তিত্ব সম্পর্কে সন্দিহান একথাও জোর দিয়ে বলা যায়না। মোদ্দা কথা হল পৃথিবীর বেশির ভাগ মানুষই কম বেশি ভূতে বিশ্বাস গ্রস্ত।

Ghosts are generally described as solitary essences that haunt particular locations, objects, or people they were associated with in life, though stories of phantom armies, trains, ships, and even the ghosts of animals have also been recounted.
