আল্লাহ পাক বলেন, “এই যে তিনি তোমাদের মধ্য থেকে তোমাদের জন্য স্ত্রীদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন- যাদের কাছে তোমরা প্রশান্তির আশ্রয় নাও। তিনিই তো তোমাদের মধ্যে পারস্পরিক ভালবাসা এবং মায়া গেঁথে দিয়েছেন, এটা তো তাঁরই নিদর্শন।“ (সূরা রূম-২১)
