Этот апокриф имел широкое распространение в средние века, в особенности на Руси, где стал известен под названием "Хождение Богородицы по мукам".

В настоящем издании публикуется перевод с греческого, на котором и было написано "Откровение". Трудно определить время создания памятника; скорее всего, его следует относить к раннему средневековью.

This apocryphal story was widespread in the Middle Ages, especially in Russia, where he became known as the "Journey of the Virgin of sorrows."

In this edition, published translation from the Greek, on which was written "Revelation". It is difficult to determine the time of the creation of the monument; most likely, it should be attributed to the early Middle Ages.
