Завещание Авраама

Апокриф основан на главе 18 Книги Бытия. Был популярен в Средние века. Сохранилось много греческих рукописей, разделенных издателем Джеймсом на две группы: т. н. "версия В" (более ранняя, предположительно I в. по Р. X., иудейская) и "версия А" (развернутая, с христианскими добавлениями). Апокриф был переведен на многие языки; дошли коптские, эфиопские, арабские, славянские и румынские версии. Определенных доказательств существования еврейского оригинала нет.
Название можно объяснить тем, что текст был частью трилогии, куда входили также "Завещание Исаака" и "Завещание Иакова" (дошли в коптских переводах). Эта трилогия была подражанием "Завещаниям 12-и Патриархов". На самом же деле никакого "завещания" Авраам не оставляет, несмотря на неоднократные призывы со стороны Господа Бога и архангела Михаила.
Главный принцип построения сближает апокриф с более поздними Откровениями Седраха и Ездры (диалог с Богом или Его вестником, заканчивающийся смертью героя, и выполнение ряда условий героя Богом).

Следует заметить, что в научных изданиях текста "Завещаний" (в т. ч. и в названном издании Чарльза) используются не только греческие, но также армянские и славянские рукописи. Существенные различия между разными рукописями выносятся на поля, а часто печатаются все имеющиеся варианты одного и того же фрагмента текста (иногда - до четырех вариантов). В переводе, публикуемом в настоящем издании, в каждом случае выбран только один вариант - наиболее развернутый, либо наиболее понятный.

Apocrypha is based on chapter 18 of the Book of Genesis. It was popular in the Middle Ages. Preserved many Greek manuscripts, separated by publisher James into two groups. Sc. "Version B" (the earlier, presumably I in. By R. X., Jewish) and "version A" (deployed with Christian additions). Apocrypha was translated into many languages; came the Coptic, Ethiopian, Arab, Slavic and Romanian versions. Certain evidence of a Hebrew original no.
The name can be attributed to the fact that the text was part of a trilogy, which also includes "The Testament of Isaac" and "Testament of Jacob" (reached in Coptic translations). This trilogy was an imitation of "Testament 12 and the Patriarchs." In fact, no "wills," Abraham does not leave, despite repeated calls by the Lord God and the Archangel Michael.
The main principle of the apocryphal brings with later revelations Shadrach and Ezra (dialogue with God or His messenger ending a hero's death, and the implementation of a number of conditions God's character).
