ولدت وردة في فرنسا لأب جزائري وأم لبنانية من عائلة بيروتية تدعى يموت.
مارست الغناء في فرنسا وكانت تقدم الأغاني للفنانين المعروفين في ذلك الوقت مثل أم كلثوم وأسمهان وعبد الحليم حافظ،
وعادت مع والدتها إلى لبنان وهناك قدمت مجموعة من الأغاني الخاصة بها.
كان يشرف على تعليمها المغني الراحل التونسي الصادق ثريا في نادي والدها في فرنسا
ثم بعد فترة أصبح لها فقرة خاصة في نادي والدها. كانت تؤدي خلال هذه الفترة أغاني أم كلثوم
حمد عبد الوهاب ولـ عبد الحليم حافظ، ثم قدمت أغاني خاصة بها من ألحان الصادق ثريّا.
وهي خالة الفنانة إنجي شرف.
