Multicultural festival full of smells, flavours, colours and rhythms. The Vibrant Nine is back again after a year!


On the last August Saturday a Podviní park in Vysočany will be full of exotic cultures again. The ninth year of The Vibrant Nine will take place on August 31, 2013 from 14.00. to 22.00.

Multicultural festival The Vibrant Nine presents national minorities living in the Czech Republic, people we commonly meet. Visitors will become acquainted with the way of life in their countries, with their culture, will have an opportunity to try their traditional culinary specialties or may join any workshops.

The programme will take place on both the main stage and in the area of Podviní park. The stage programme will comprise ethnic dances and music performances, in the park there will be stands offering delicious dishes from Georgia, Italy, Vietnam, Bulgaria, Serbia, Benin, Armenia, USA, Ivory Coast, China, Afghanistan or Mexico.

Besides refreshments there will be a market with ethnic products, workshops and entertainment stands for children in the park.

Nonprofit organizations which help people under the threat, deal with developing activities or those which are engaged in minority integration in the Czech Republic will be given the space too.

The Vibrant Nine 2013 starts at 14:00.
