'സമസ്തവേദങ്ങളുടെയും സാരമാണു ഭഗവദ്ഗീത. ചെറുതെങ്കിലും സമുദ്രംപോലെത്തന്നെ അഗാധവും വിശാലവുമാണതു്. മനുഷ്യരാശിക്കാകമാനം വേണ്ടിയുള്ളതാണു ഗീതാസന്ദേശം. ജീവിതത്തിന്‍റെ ഏതു തുറയില്‍പ്പെട്ടവര്‍ക്കും ആത്മപദത്തിലേക്കുയരാനുള്ള മാര്‍ഗ്ഗം ഗീത കാട്ടിത്തരുന്നു' എന്നാണു ഗീതയെപ്പറ്റി അമ്മ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ളതു്.
അര്‍ത്ഥ ബോധത്തോടെ പ്രതിദിനം ഗീത സ്വാദ്ധ്യായം ചെയ്തു് ഒരു വര്‍ഷംകൊണ്ടു് അനുഷ്ഠാനരൂപത്തില്‍ ഗീതാപാരായണം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കാന്‍ ഉതകുന്നതാണു 'ശ്രീമദ് ഭഗവദ്ഗീത പ്രതിദിനമനനം' എന്ന ഈ ഗ്രന്ഥം. സ്വാമി വിദ്യാമൃതാനന്ദ പുരിയാണു ശ്ലോകങ്ങളുടെ ഭാവാര്‍ത്ഥം തയ്യാറാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ളതു്.
