SmartUJ is an app for students and PhD candidates of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. It offers a personalised messaging system, useful contact information, synchronised calendar, and latest news.
Thanks to various personalisation options, the users receive dedicated notifications based on their faculty and study programme, while the synchronised calendar will remind them of all important classes and events.
The map section features the addresses of faculties and institutes, which makes it easy to locate various university buildings.
The app is a great source of information and tips on student life. It comprises four sections: organisation, education, support, and development. They contain useful information about the academic calendar, scholarships, insurance, halls of residence, and opportunities for studying abroad. It also features basic information on the JU Student Government and student organisations which allow users to pursue their hobbies and academic interests.
The app provides an in-depth coverage of the Jagiellonian University’s history with detailed descriptions of particularly important places for the University, Kraków, and the Małopolska region. It is a history lesson available at any time, even during a five minute wait on a bus stop.
