सूचना-तकनीकी एवं डिजिटलाइजेशन के समय में राष्ट्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा अभियान के तत्वावधान में बन रहा "शालादर्पण" एक एकीकृत द्विभाषिक ऑनलाइन एमआईएस पोर्टल है, जिसके माध्यम से राजस्थान के सभी राजकीय विद्यालय, उनमें पढ़ने वाले विद्यार्थी एवं इन विद्यालयों के कार्मिक मय शिक्षकों से सम्बंधित सूचनाओं का संकलन, विद्यालय स्तरीय शैक्षणिक गतिविधियों की प्रविस्टी एवं इनका नियमित रूप से अद्यतन सम्भव होगा ।

वर्तमान में राज्य के माध्यमिक शिक्षा के सभी विद्यालयों मे "शालादर्पण" क्रियान्वित किया जा रहा है, जिस क्रम में माध्यमिक शिक्षा के सभी 13394 विद्यालयों के लॉगिन तैयार कर, स्कूल लॉगिन से विद्यालयों की आधारभूत सूचनाये, कक्षा- वर्गवार विद्यार्थीयों की व्यक्तिगत जानकारियां एवं विद्यालय के कार्मिकों से सम्बंधित सूचनाओं का संकलन किया जा चुका है । प्रविष्ट सूचनायें प्रामाणिक एवं तथ्यपरक हों, इसके लिये विद्यार्थियों की TC/शाला से निष्कासन एवं कार्मिकों की जॉइनिंग / रिलीविंग को भी इस पोर्टल से प्रारम्भ किया जा रहा है ।

विभाग की महत्वपूर्ण गतिविधियों की सूचनायें, राजकीय आदेश अब स्कूल के लॉगिन में ही उपलब्ध करवाया जा रहा है । एनआईसी राजस्थान के तकनीकि सहयोग से बन रहे इस ऑनलाइन पॉर्टल मे पहले विद्यालय वार स्वीकृत पद विषय सहित, की प्रविष्टि की गयी एवं तत्पश्चात् इन स्वीकृत पदों के विरुद्ध लगे सभी कार्मिकों का विवरण एकत्रित किया गया है, जो की अपने आप में एक नवाचारी एवं अभिनव प्रयास है ।

• विद्यार्थियों की अधिगम स्तर प्रगति की नियमित प्रविष्टि के साथ उनकी सहशैक्षिक गतिविधियों का सतत् मूल्यांकन

• उपलब्ध मानव संसाधन का समुचित उपयोग

• विद्यालय/शिक्षक/विद्यार्थी आधारित विभिन्न योजनाओं के निमार्ण हेतु आवश्यक इनपुट की एक क्लिक पर उपलब्धता

• जिला/राज्य स्तर पर त्वरित मॉनीटरिंग द्वारा योजनाओं का प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन
