اليوم.. وقد إنبهمت السبل، ومل الحادى وتاه الدليل ، و أصبح المسلمون في حيرة من أمرهم ، فصار واجب كل واحد منهم ان يفكر فى ما آلت إليه حالهم ، وينظر في ما هو مطروح من خيارات للخروج من هذا المأزق التأريخى.. فإن مشكلة المسلمين اليوم ليست خارجهم و إنما هي في داخلهم كأفراد و كمجتمعات و دول.. فلينظروا إلى دواخلهم و الى ما يفتقرون إليه من قيم.. فيعكفوا عليها بالسلوك المؤدب وفق منهاج النبي الكريم عليه أفضل الصلاة و أتم التسليم ، و أخلاقه التي وصفت بالقرآن ، فيتشربوا معانيها ويتحلوا بها ويحققونها فى أنفسهم.. والعرب لم يدخلوا التاريخ كعرب، وإنما بعد أن من الله عليهم فأصبحوا مسلمين.. وليس لهم طريق للعزة والكرامة إلا إذا رجعوا الى دينهم الحنيف، فتحققوا به وتمثلوا شمائل رسوله الكريم عليه افضل الصلاة والسلام.. من محبة وسلام.. و حرية و ديمقراطية.. جسدها وعاشها عليه الصلاة و السلام في الدم و اللحم..
لقد طرح الأستاذ محمود محمد طه خارطة الطريق للخروج من هذا المأزق التأريخى، المتمثل فى فشل المسلمين اليوم فى التواؤم مع بيئتهم الجديدة.. هذه البيئة الكوكبيـة التى ، وبفضل الله وفضل الحضارة الغربية، وحدت شعوب الأرض مكانيا وزمانيا، و لكنّها فشلت فى توحيدهم وأخلاقياً وفكرياً.. فهم فى مفترق الطرق : إما أن يتواءموا مع هذه البيئة الجديدة ، او ينقرضوا ويخرجوا من التاريخ كما خرج من قبلهم من الخلائق ممن عجز عن التواؤم مع تغير بيئتهم..
