This game is a research project by the Augmented Learning Group at the Keio-NUS CUTE Center (CUTE). By playing this Augmented Reality (AR) game, players can learn about how water can be recycled through purification processes. The gameplay data will then be sent to researchers in CUTE, who will analyze the data to produce insights into learning through AR games. As this is a research project, anyone who downloads and plays the game consents to sending data regarding the playing of the game to CUTE. The data collected only includes data on gameplay, player's age and gender, and does not include any personally identifiable information. The application links to an online web-page, where additional educational content about water purification can be accessed if required.
If you download this app, you consent to participating in this research project regarding AR games and learning. The app will pop up one message a week after you've played the game to ask you a survey question regarding your gameplay experience. You will never be contacted by the research team directly.
This research is supported by the National Research Foundation, Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore under its International Research Centre @ Singapore Funding Initiative and administered by the Interactive and Digital Media Programme Office.
This is a collaborative project involving the Keio-NUS CUTE Center and Science Centre Singapore, to understand learning impacts of technology in museum settings.
