About Arabic Rhythms Android App
A simple guide to 5 of the most common rhythms found in Arabic and Middle Eastern music. See and hear the rhythms.
This app is for bellydancers and drummers.
Bellydancers often find it difficult to recognise which rhythm is being played, so this is a handy tool to use to help with that.
Those people learning to play the Egyptian drum (doumbek) find it easier to play a rhythm if they can hear it first, rather than trying to work it out from the standard notation. So this app will aid the learner to get the hang of the basic version of the rhythm.
This is meant as a simple guide and was in fact developed at the end of a beginners Android development course. However, I have plans for a more comprehensive version, with more rhythms and more features, which I'm really excited about.
