Introduction
Brain stimulation techniques, such as solving puzzles or engaging in cognitive activities, can have beneficial effects on patients with neurological disorders. Here are a few ways in which brain stimulation can help:
1. Cognitive Enhancement: Engaging in puzzles and other mentally stimulating activities can improve cognitive functions such as attention, memory, and problem-solving skills. These activities challenge the brain and promote neuroplasticity, which is the brain's ability to reorganize and form new neural connections. By stimulating the brain in this way, patients can potentially improve their cognitive abilities, which may be impaired due to neurological disorders.
2. Neural Network Activation: Solving puzzles activates various neural networks within the brain, including those responsible for reasoning, logic, and spatial awareness. By activating these networks, brain stimulation helps improve the efficiency of neural pathways and strengthens connections between different brain regions. This enhanced neural activity can compensate for damaged or dysfunctional areas in the brain, allowing patients to bypass or mitigate the effects of their neurological disorders.
3. Mood and Emotional Regulation: Neurological disorders often come with emotional and mood disturbances. Brain stimulation activities, such as solving puzzles, can help alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress. These activities promote the release of neurotransmitters like dopamine and endorphins, which are associated with positive emotions and feelings of reward. Engaging in puzzles can provide a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, which can have a positive impact on mood and overall well-being.
4. Rehabilitation and Functional Recovery: Brain stimulation through puzzle-solving can be an effective component of neurorehabilitation programs. By targeting specific cognitive functions, such as attention or memory, patients can improve their abilities in these areas. This is particularly relevant for individuals who have experienced brain injuries or neurodegenerative conditions. Regular brain stimulation exercises can help regain lost skills, enhance functional recovery, and improve quality of life.
It's important to note that while brain stimulation activities like puzzle-solving can be beneficial, they should be used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan developed in consultation with healthcare professionals. Each patient's condition is unique, and the specific benefits of brain stimulation techniques can vary depending on the type and severity of the neurological disorder.
The Goal
---------
The goal of the game is to move the ball to the hole by rotating the maze appropriately.
Starting the game
------------------
To start the game, press the Level Button from the unlocked levels in the level selection menu, starting from Level 1.
Placing the maze in an augmented reality (AR) Environment
-----------------------------------------------------------
To place the Maze on a plane (flat horizontal surface) in augmented reality (AR), point the device's camera so that the center of the screen points to the plane selected by the player (e.g. a table). When detected by the app, these planes will appear on the screen as dotted surfaces.
Maze control
-------------
Use the two arrow buttons at the bottom of the screen to rotate the maze either clockwise or anti-clockwise. The ball will roll accordingly.
Resizing the Maze
------------------
