This app is designed to work specifically with The Children’s Interactive Story of Art book, published in association with The National Gallery, London.

If you've got the The Children’s Interactive Story of Art book, download this FREE app to begin creating your own virtual art gallery. You can hang paintings from The National Gallery on the walls, and even upload your own photos to place next to the masters. Decide how you’re going to theme each of the five rooms in the gallery, but remember there’s no right or wrong – it’s up to you. When you’ve finished curating, wow your friends and family with an amazing virtual-reality 3D tour of your exhibition.

Highlights include:
• Use the Gallery Builder to create your own unique five-room art gallery!
• Choose the wall colour, ceiling design and floor type for each room in the exhibition.
• Drag and drop masterpieces from The National Gallery, London, onto the walls of your gallery. Pick a frame for each painting and choose how large you want to display the artworks.
• Upload your own images from your device’s photo album, and hang them next to the masters!
• Once you’re happy with your gallery layout, take an amazing virtual-reality 3D tour of the exhibition, room by room. Rotate your device to view any part of each gallery room, then tap on a picture to see it up close and discover its title and the name of the artist who painted it.
• Put your art knowledge to the test with the Art Quiz! Can you… piece together the jigsaw of a famous painting from The National Gallery? Spot the differences between two paintings? Pick the odd one out from a group of paintings? You’ll need to complete each level successfully to move on to the next level.

How it works:
To activate the app, turn to pages 92-93 in The Children’s Interactive Story of Art book. Launch the app, point your device's camera at the book while it is open flat on the floor or a table, and get ready to start your art gallery experience. Allow the app to access your photos if you want to upload images of your own artwork.

This FREE app is available to anyone with a compatible smartphone, tablet or mobile device with a front- and rear-facing camera.
