General fixes and UI improvements
Arup in London is a walking tour of London and exploration of the built environment by way of Arup projects. The mobile app connects users to the city and highlights Arup’s overt contribution to the city’s skyline, as well as less overt contributions hidden within its streets and parks.
Arup in London maps nearby buildings of interest and walking routes based a user’s location. The app encourages walking by tracking distances walked with its passport function; the user is rewarded with a badge for each site visited.
Once at a destination the user can read more about the building, swipe through sketches, plans, and construction photos, and explore the structural nuances of the design. The user can share photos and project badges over social networks with friends and family, creating a collaborative story of their tour of Arup’s London.
Arup in London was created and designed by Arup’s Foresight + Research + Innovation team in collaboration with Ojingo Labs (UX and development) and ESRI (GIS mapping) with creative input from various project experts from featured Arup installations.
