Official Police Resource
The Ask the Police application is intended to provide the general public with information on a wide range of non-emergency ‘policing’ issues – at a time to suit them.
The app contains accurate, legally verified answers to over 850 of the questions most frequently asked by the public across England and Wales. Each police force also has the facility to add local information, which can be viewed by selecting a specific force area prior to accessing the question bank. Questions and answers are added and updated frequently and the Question of the Day and Latest News features provide topical information.
The content of the App is provided by the PNLD (Police National Legal Database). PNLD is a business service of the Police and Crime Commissioner West Yorkshire and has been providing online information resources since 1994.
A wireless or 3G network is required to access the information in this app.
