Even with CDs, often books require three or five or ten discs to cover a book. An on the other hand can hold a library's worth. If you're using it for road trips, rig up a tape adapter and a power source and avoid FM transmitters that are frequently buggy. I've heard all his other books as a result. He's wonderful with prose and dry humor. I recently heard of fame reading and the Chocolate Factory. It was wonderful and something you could enjoy with your own children. Forget in-seat DVD players on your next road trip and enjoy this as a family together instead. In the business books arena, Freakonomics was a roaring good time. It's heavy enough to be interesting and light enough to remain amusing from start to finish. If you've got a 30-40 minute commute you can get through this in one week if you listen to and from work. Blink was also a terrific way to spend drive time, thanks mostly to Malcolm wonderful speaking style. books are fantastic in audiobook format, sounding more like radio shows than books. I can't stand reading the text versions, having tossed away the first Potter book I bought, but I've heard four of them as audiobooks. Both the US and UK versions feature great voice actors as narrators, playing all 15-20 parts themselves, giving each and every character a distinct voice that you quickly recognize. Quite entertaining.
