This Product shows us the Today's Bharatiya Saur(Indian National Calendar) Date and Time.
With the initiative of India’s first prime minister late P. Jawaharlal Nehru, calendar reconstruction committee, under chairmanship of Mr.Meghanad Saha prepared solar calendar from 1956 AD and from 1957 AD it was publically circulated.
* Indian Reserve Bank has also approved this calendar and cheques based on its date are considered valid. (It is wrong to reject such cheques.) And hence this calendar is deliberately mentioned on All India radio, Doordarshan, Government communication etc.
Attributes of this calendar: As per Gregorian calendar year starts on 1st January. But on that day no special event happens in the space. In contrast as per our solar calendar first day of New Year is 1 solar Chaitra [As per AD 22 March/21 March (If it is leap year)]. On this day Sun comes on equator so day and night are equal. Hence this equinox has scientific importance.
Apart from this every phase of the year
That is 1 Chaitra (22/21 March) - Vernal equinox; 1 Ashadh (22 June)- Start of Dakshinayan (Sun enters southern hemisphere)
1 Ashwin (23 September) - Autumnal equinox; 1 Paush (22 Dec.) Start of Uttarayan (Sun enters northern hemisphere)
As it is based on such scientific (celestial) events, this calendar is eligible to be used on global level. That is why we are using this calendar since last 3 years and we are also making it available on mobile phone so that everyone can use it.
