Il Balneare Antonio nasce nel 1935 dall'iniziativa di due fratelli portorecanatesi, Geremia Piangerelli e Giacomo Piangerelli (detto Mimì), ed è ancora attualmente gestito dai discendenti. Verso la fine degli anni Sessanta, per la prima volta, sulla spiaggia fa la sua comparsa un "chioschetto" in legno, per la vendita di bibite fresche ai bagnanti, aprendo la strada a quello che oggi è il Balneare Antonio.Negli anni Novanta, la struttura, oltre ad offrire il servizio bar, ha iniziato la nuova avventura della ristorazione, dapprima con panini, insalatone e piadine e, dal Duemila, inaugurando un vero e proprio ristorante con cucina tradizionale di pesce assieme alla pizzeria.
