The Bharat Sevashram Sangha is a spiritual brotherhood of monks and selfless workers devoted to the service of humanity. It was founded in 1917 by illustrious patriot saint YUGACHARYA SREEMAT SWAMY PRANAVANANDAJI MAHARAJ, as a result of divine inspitration at the altar of His spiritual revelation in 1916.
The monks and volunteers of the Sangha; during the hours of Natural Calamities of Flood, Famine Cyclone or Earthquake, reach to the most needy in the remotest place of flood Striken areas by boats. Its participation during Tsunami, Port Blair in,A & N islands and Tamilnadu, Earthquake Disaster at Bhuj, Killari etc. Super cyclone in Orissa, disasters flood of 1978, 1984, 1992 and 2002 in west bengal and other flood relief works Gujrat, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Assam etc. are worth mentioning.
Its medical relief to the poor and weaker section of the society, irrespective of caste, creed or color through Hundreds of Charitable Dispensaries, Hospitals, Cancer and Leprosy patients homes and rehabilation and care Centres are all for the welfare and upliftment of economically handicapped persons.
