The database is a compilation of three sources from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the PLANTS Database; the University of Michigan, the Animal Diversity Web (ADW); and the Integrated Taxonomic Information System (ITIS), a partnership of U.S., Canadian, and Mexican government agencies. Prior to upload, data records had been reviewed by hand for verification purposes. Please send any errors and mistakes by e-mail to [email protected]. The database is updated with corrections and new entries.
