About BitdayCity Android App

BitdayCity is an app of tourist character that includes places, routes, events, audio guides and general information about the city. We offer a wide selection of tourist attractions in Barcelona, however this project will add many other cities to its map, and also other languages. BitdayCity is a completely personalized app, since it recommends places, routes and activities depending on your tastes and preferences, previously picked. For example, if the tourist is travelling with his family the app will suggest activities for all ages, but if the tourist is a lover of Modernist architecture, BitdayCity will advise the visit to the Park Güell, the Palace of Catalan Music or the Gaudí route.

BitdayCity stands out from other tourist apps for its target, which is the hotel sector. Their clients will receive a free access to the app during their stay in the city, and they will also enjoy direct information about their hotel, through the same application. Users will access the following sections:

EXPLORE
• more than 650 restaurants, patisseries, ice-cream shops, cafés, wineries and cocktail bars.
• more than 120 nightclubs, movie theaters, amusement parks and concert halls.
• more than 130 museums, libraries, churches, cathedrals, monuments, theaters and art galleries.
• more than 40 pharmacies, hospitals, police and firemen departments.
• more than 160 stores, shopping malls, book shops and tobacconist’s shops.
• more than 410 viewpoints, squares, streets, point of currency exchange, important buildings, consulates, beaches, parks and gardens, places for beauty care and spas.
• more than 180 taxi ranks, bike, segway, limo and helicopter rentings, boat strolls, cable cars and other similar transports.

ROUTES
We offer a wide range of thematic routes: architecture, gastronomy, biographical, party, strolling, shopping or long tours for all day. Users can play the route, open every single stop of it and even create its own itinerary with our more than 1700 places in Barcelona.

EVENTS
BitdayCity gives you all the information about the last releases, concerts, exhibitions, congresses, fairs, sporting events and other occurrences held in the city. There is always something to do!

YOUR CITY
BitdayCity provides users general information about the city they are visiting, its habits and traditions, advices to move in public transport and a map of its more interesting districts.

HOTEL
This section provides users information about the services of their hotel, for example the schedule of the spa, the restaurant menu or the programme of the activities for kids held during the week. The hotel gets in touch with its clients through an instant message service for notifications or promotions. It also shows the hotel’s contact information and the links to social networks.
