About BNR Android App

The BNR app is intended for establishing Bluetooth connection between user’s smartphone/iPhone and a control device for BNR winter windshield wipers.
Unlike conventional wipers, BNR wipers have in-built electric heaters which help to defrost the wipers and prevents ice formation during movement. The control device switches heaters on and off depending on its operating mode and users’ commands.
The control device supports two operation modes:
· Manual mode: switching heating on and off by direct user commands.
· Automatic mode: heating switching depends on measured temperature of the environment.
For security reasons the control device provides firmware restriction on switching heating on while the car engine is not running. It helps to protect the car battery from occasional discharge.
This app provides settings for convenient adjustment:
· Temperature threshold defines the point when heaters are switched on in automatic operation mode.
· Voltage threshold helps to define if the car engine is currently running.
If the engine is shut user can see charge level of the battery. Otherwise it is displayed that the battery is being charged.
After the engine launch the control device changes its operation mode to automatic.
