About BookCommunity Android App
BookCommunity is an Android app for sharing your personal collection of physical books (not ebooks) with others geographically close to you. Upload a list of books you're willing to share, and find books that other users are sharing.
- Input 1 or more addresses where you wish to meet other users. When you search for a book, the app will locate the potential lender closest to any of your addresses.
- Search for books close to you by ISBN or title and author. If your desired book is not found, it will be added to your wish list.
- Also search through your borrowed books, wish list, lent books, and other books in your collection.
- You can add a book to your list by scanning its ISBN barcode.
- Integrated with Google Maps to locate book lenders.
- Contact lenders via email.
- When you meet another user to borrow or lend a book, the lender can generate a QR code for the borrower to scan, for easy tracking of borrowed and lent books.
