Minor Bug fixes
This app was created by myself, Alexander Davis and my partner Sai latha Suresh in our Mobile Computing class at the University of Colorado Denver
This app enables you to create a customizable sleep / relaxation track. This app uses binaural beats to produce an illusory sound at sub-sonic levels. For example, when a tone at a frequency of 300 hz is played from the one speaker and a frequency of 306 hz is played from the other, your brain hears a tone at 6 hz with some interference, increasing as the base frequency (300 hz) increases.
There is a coloration between hearing tones at sub-sonic levels and brainwaves. For example a sound at 6 hz will help induce a deep meditative or relaxation, while a sound of 2 hz will help induce a deep dreamless sleep.
This app is different than other apps on the market in that it offers full customization of your track, and that it works fine without headphones.
For example you can generate a binaural beat that gradually decreases from 30 hz to 5 hz over a period of 10 second, then goes from 5 hz to 3 hz over a period of 20 seconds and returns back to 30 hz over a period of 30 second.
Please give feedback and let us know if you want us to continue to polish and add improvement to the app after the end of the semester.
