About BURBA Citizen Waste Management Android App
BURBA is a waste management system. BURBA project proposes an innovative method of optimization of the waste management through the application of RFID and LBS technologies integrated into an intelligent waste container (IWAC).
This Android Smartphone or Tablet application aids citizens on monitoring waste disposals as well to determine the availability of the waste containers.
Citizens can do several applications such as monitor waste weight and items disposed; search and find the closest waste containers; view map of waste containers; update citizen location; submit and manage complaints.
BURBA project is being validated on three european municipalities: Santander (Spain), Camogli (Italy) and Rzeszow (Poland). The application requires authentication to be used. This project is funded by European Commission (FP7).
