About Chat App Android App
A simple app with just one chat room, which is open to all users. It uses Firebase as a server. It's feature-rich with data and file persistence, authentication, analytics, and notifications, and remote config.
The app uses following services of Firebase:
1. Authentication
The app depends on Firebase Auth to manage user registration and sign in.
2. Database
It uses Firebase's real-time database to store the group chat messages.
3. Functions
I have written my own Cloud Function for Firebase that makes chat more fun by adding emojis to the conversations.
4. Notifications
Sends the notification from Firebase Console to all users or selected users of the app.
5. Remote Config
Firebase Remote Config is used to change the default message length without publishing an app update.
6. Analytics
It uses Google Analytics to insight on app usage and user engagement.
