The main purpose in transposing music is to change key: to make the music easier to sing, to make it easier to play instrumentally, or to affect an intended mood by changing the pitch and/or tone.

Musicians commonly use a capo to raise the pitch of a fretted instrument so they can play in a different key using the same fingerings as playing open (i.e., without a capo). In effect, a capo uses a fret of an instrument to create a new nut at a higher note than the instrument's actual nut.

You can save and load chords into and from your device.

Click on a chord to see the suggested guitar fingering. Multiple fingerings are shown, with the most common one first.
